“Two years ago I became ill and as a result lost 10kgs, physical strength and mental resilience. For a guy in my mid forties I felt like a frail old man. That’s when I started doing PT sessions with Kyl. When the sessions started I realised how much I had deteriorated. Kyl programmed workouts that were tough and challenging. But these workouts were not just about making me physically stronger. Afterwards we would spend a few minutes talking about my state of mind and how that impacted on my physical well-being. So while he worked on my physical strength and fitness, he also worked on my mental strength and fitness. After a couple of months he had me lifting weights and running distances I never thought I’d be capable of. Kyl rebuilt me both physically and mentally and for that I’m extremely grateful to him. As a result of what he did for me I’ve started doing CrossFit; something I never thought I’d be capable of. When I’m in the middle of a tough workout I still hear Kyl’s voice telling me not to be scared of being strong and just keep going.
